Im so excited!

So why dont you come on over to the iStore on 31st October and take a look at over 200 images by instagramers from all over Jozi!  Have some wine, some snacks, listen to some awesome live music.  Some of the images will also be on sale (including mine) so bring your wallets too.

iPhoneography JHB Invite

What a rush!!!

Last night was the 2nd Annual iPhoneography Exhibition.

I just have to say, Marc Forrest, you and the iStore team are legends!  What a slick, professional and awesome event!

If you couldnt make it to the Johannesburg event last night, dont worry, the artwork will remain on display until Friday 26th October and most artworks are for sale so if you go take a look make sure to take some cash with you.  You wont be sorry.

If you are in Cape Town you wont want to miss the CT Exhibition on 23rd October.

So, in my previous post I mentioned that I submitted 5 images and 2 were chosen to be displayed.

These are the two…

What a rush seeing them up on the wall with my name next to them.

But an even bigger rush was this!

I sold an image that I took!  I am beyond chuffed, especially since out of all the images that I submitted this is my favourite one, this is the one I wanted to get through.  What! A! Rush!

I’m still doing a little jig this morning 🙂

I also want to thank Print Wild for the amazing job they did with all the printing.  I will definitely be using them to print more of my images.  Paul and I have decided to do a 3 x 3 (or maybe 4 x 4 if we cant decide on only 9 images) panel on our entrance hall wall of our Instagram images on canvas.

Edited to add: My darling sweetheart mommy just told me she is buying the other image!

iPhoneography SA 2nd annual exhibition

Last year we attended the 1st ever iPhoneography SA exhibition.  We went to see the beautiful photos taken by our friends and landed up buying this gorgeous image by Jenty.

At the time I didnt have an iPhone but this year I did so I decided to just go for it and submit a few of my images.

The only criteria is that the photos MUST be taken on an iPhone and edited on an iPhone.  Anyone could submit images, amateur or professional. We were allowed to submit up to 5 photos.

These were the ones I submitted.

2 of these images have been selected for the exhibition.  Im not telling you which 2 they are, you will have to come to the exhibition to find out!

We have art!

Paul and I have been together for almost 8 years and been married for about 5 and a half years.  We have lived together in his flat for a year and a half before moving into the house we are in now about 5 years ago.

Besides framing some of our family photos and decorating the kids rooms we have NO art on our walls (besides one Jack Vettriano print that was given to Paul as a gift before we met).

Yesterday, we attended the first iPhoneography exhibition in South Africa.  What an awesome event.  What amazing photographs.

We also bought our very first artwork.  An A2 canvas by Jeanette Verster (in fact its the image in this post!).  The added bonus being that the proceeds of the sale go to Team JP!

I cannot wait to get our canvas and put it on our wall!
