Kicking my arse!

Firstly let me just say that I am loving being pregnant.  I do not take this miracle for granted, not even for one moment!

But oh boy!  Compared to my pregnancy with Aaron this time round is like being run over with a bus.  And then having the bus reverse back over me!

With Aaron I never had one moment of tiredness, I could have partied until all hours every night.  In fact when other women said how tired they were, how they couldn’t stop yawning and were in bed at 8pm I secretly thought they were mad, or making it up.  I guess this is my wake up call, I am EXHAUSTED, I yawn from the moment I open my eyes to the moment I close them.  I cannot wait to get home in the afternoon so I can have a nap and then I am still in bed as early as possible and fast asleep before I can even say good night to Paul.

And the morning sickness… OMG!

With Aaron I was fine during the day, I came home at 5pm and between 5:30 and 6pm I threw up, once maybe twice and that was that.  Nothing else until the next night.  This time I am nauseous all day, one day I will be fine, the next I can throw up 6 times, the next only once.  It hits me at random times, sometimes as I wake up, sometimes it waits for mid morning, sometimes its every hour, sometimes its only at night.

Its gotten to the point that I called my OB and she recommended Emex, which helps most of the time but not always.  Hopefully it allows me some peace at work, because between the vomming and the tiredness I am really struggling to function.

There is an upside to all the symptoms Im having though… my boobs are huge!

I’ve already had to go up a cup size and they just keep getting bigger (and better), I actually have a real cleavage now, without even trying. 🙂

And of course the other very visible difference in this pregnancy is that I am showing already, have been since about 5 weeks or so.  Here are a few pics:

Aaron at 4 months
theSQL at 5 weeks... FIVE WEEKS!
And here is theSQL at just under 9 weeks 🙂

    1. Oh Wenchy! This made me cry, good tears!
You are getting the biggest hug next time I see you!!!!

  2. You look awesome!!
Try choosing one pair of pants that you can take photos with for most of your pregnancy… that way you’ll really see the difference in the photos.

  3. Emex is great! My OB also prescribed it for me with my last 2…

Your belleh looks beautiful! I see you have a navel piercing. I had one too, but had to remove it when I ended up having an emergency c-section with Megan, along with my tongue, nose & ear jewellery, and I just never put any of it back.

I need to go and get my tonge & belly re-done, but I’ll wait until I’m back in my pre-pregnancy clothes. (It’s taking a hell of a lot longer this time to lose the pregnancy pudge!)

Sometimes I catch myself feeling a little bit sad that I’m never going to do this again, but then I think of how cool it’s going to be when I’m back to my real size and it’s okay…

So happy for you – hope the blegh eases up soon & you have a wonderful, healthy, happy pregnancy & baby!

  4. @cat if there are two in there I would be very surprised, at my scan she looked all over, she practically put that gel and the wand on my back to see 😉

@MeeA took my belly ring out when I had the lap done in December and within 4 days it had closed, cant wait to be able to redo it. Also I wore it right through my pregnancy with Aaron, even into the theatre for my c-section!

  5. Gina, believe me, we were surprised too. Mine was actually looking for more than one because I was not suppose top carry more than one, and still the one was hiding. It was a couple of days younger, so did not have a heartbeat like the other one. And was hiding behind his brother.

  6. @cat – Oh wow, ok, I guess we will find out in 3 weeks… going for my next scan at 13weeks 2days…

  7. hey Gina

It’s Boo from BF coming to have a squiz at your blog 🙂

I was just wondering if you had purposely stood in different directions for the photos this time around to distinguish between the two??

Thats a pretty good idea. Might have to steal it.

I just started taking photos now. I’m 12 weeks. But I wont look at them until after I’ve had the baby because my belly looks just fat right now 🙂

  8. Hi Boo,

Welcome! Nope I just happened to stand that way for that one and only photo 🙂

I love seeing the progress, just amazed that it started so early this time round 🙂
